Dear Tennis Member,
We kindly ask that all players comply with the following Grass Court Rules and Etiquette.
The grass court will be open daily (weather permitting) as from 15 June until the latter part of September and shall not be used on any day before 10.00am nor after dusk or when there is dew or when wet or damp.
The Club’s Grounds person, Jo Kirby, will be the judge of a court's fitness for play and shall not be played on when in an unfit condition.
Grass court bookings must be made via the MyCourts system and can be booked on the day only. A court fee of £10.00 will be applied (for the upkeep of the grass) per hourly session to members and the normal guest fee will apply when playing with a guest.
Please note that a court booking is mandatory and that no spontaneous play is permitted on the grass court.
Appropriate tennis shoes must be worn at all times.
Juniors (under 18s) must always be accompanied by an adult member.
Please note that booking bans will be enforced for the misuse of grass courts.
Weekly grass court maintenance will take place every Thursday between Noon-4.00pm.
Every effort will be made to make the courts available to the maximum, but inevitably there will be occasions when, for weather or other reasons, courts have to be taken out of use.
