Good morning everyone!
This is a very special year for the club as it celebrates our 140th anniversary.
We are planning a series of events to mark this occasion:
On Wednesday 18th June we are starting with a history talk with a local resident historian. He will be covering the origins of our beloved sports and social club as well as the surrounding area.
Cost will be £5 including a glass of wine. Please arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
On Saturday 21st June there will be two events. One for all the family in the afternoon followed by a cocktail and canapes party in the evening (adults only). Tickets will go on sale soon.
In the afternoon we will be hosting a ‘Nations Cup’ where everyone can get involved.
The idea is you represent your country in a chosen sport and as a team you try and win the most points to lift the Nations Cup!
We have tried to represent all members so the options are:
• Tennis – doubles competition
• Squash - competition
• Ping Pong -competition (children only)
Please reply to pgcsocialteam@gmail.com indicating which sport you would like to take part in, your level (recreational, intermediate, advanced) and which country you would like to represent.
Dependant on numbers we may have to group different countries together. We will let you know once we see the uptake.
