Coaching Investigation Committee - Members Update

Dear PGC Member


On 29 November 2025, the Board appointed a committee to investigate an allegation, raised by a working group that had been looking into coaching services, that Tom Maxwell, trading as Top Tennis, was in breach of the current contract between the Club and him, made in 2024, and of an earlier contract between the Club and him, made in 2022. It concerned guest fees for non-member children in group sessions.

Having carefully considered the matter, including an email from a previous general manager about this issue, the Board has concluded there will be no further action.

Tom has co-operated fully throughout and the Board is very grateful for that and for his patience.

The Board wishes to make it entirely clear that it has no reason whatsoever to doubt Tom’s integrity and honesty and that it looks forward to working with him in delivering first-rate coaching services to the Club under a new contract with him, the substance of which has already been communicated to you.
